WEDDINGS

What is so unique and different about your wedding photography?

By combining two different wedding styles, Traditional Coverage and Photojournalistic Coverage, yet keeping everything natural, Rick is creating art-like portraits and wedding albums which have a scenic quality, are emotionally charged and have a natural look with an artistic impression. The Traditional Style includes all of the wedding images you have come to expect in a traditional wedding album, including portraits of the Bride and Groom individually, together and with family members, as well as the traditional happenings of your day. The Photojournalistic style is a more real style of wedding photography and is available in either artistic black & white or natural color. It includes unposed, spontaneous photographs during the wedding day. Unlike most photographers, Rick offers a combination of the two styles merged to your personal tastes. How much or little of each style is totally up to you.

Is Rick going to personally do my photography?

All weddings are personally photographed by Rick. A highly trained wedding day associate assists Rick with additional lighting and equipment details.

How far ahead of my wedding do I need to schedule you?

On average most weddings retain our service six to twelve months in advance. Certain times of the year are more popular and may book well over a year in advance. It really goes without saying but Rick can only personally photograph one wedding at a time. To save disappointment, as soon as you know the date, make the call.

Do you have packages and how much will I spend?

Every wedding is custom designed to your own needs. No two are the same. During a personal planning session, we help you determine what is right for you. Wedding day commissions start at twenty-five hundred dollars and include planning sessions, wedding day coverage, bridal album and finished photographs.

How far do you travel and what are the fees?

Our service is available for weddings all over the country and beyond. We need travel expenses covered outside of the Central, East Central Indiana area. Weddings for which several hours of travel are needed may require a hotel room. Weddings requiring air travel provide two roundtrip airline tickets plus hotel accommodations and miscellaneous expenses as needed.

How do I reserve your service?

An initial telephone conversation (317-691-7484) determines availability and basic information. Next, a personal consultation time is scheduled. In the Central to East Central Indiana area, consultations are conducted in the convenience of the clients own home. After agreement of the right photography coverage for your wedding is determined, a retainer is paid to confirm the reservation.

PORTRAITS

I've never had a custom portrait by a photographic artist before. What's wrong with just going to the department store?

The department store type of photography is certainly fine in many cases to record a person's physical appearance at different stages of their life. We find, however, that there are many occasions in our clients lives for which they desire something different, something unique, something out of the ordinary. As photographic portrait artists, we work with each client on an individual basis to achieve what is right for them and then determine how best to accomplish the desired results.

Where would be the best location to create my portrait?

The right location for a portrait depends mostly on the personality of the subject and of course on the end purpose for the portrait. Many people feel more comfortable in a natural environment such as their home, office or out of doors. Personalized locations can also add to the uniqueness "one of a kind look" of a portrait.

Why should I have a personal planning consultation before the photography?

Spending time together before the portrait day allows Rick to observe the subject and make important decisions about how to best express their personality. Purpose and location of display of the images is discussed and then session location, style, colors, appropriate clothing and other possible props are determined.

How much should I expect to spend?

Needs vary greatly from one person to another but most clients spend anywhere from several hundred to a few thousand dollars for their session, wall portraits, gift sizes, framing and accessories. Portrait commissions are available starting from five hundred dollars and include consultations, photography session and finished portraits.

How do I make an appointment?

An initial telephone call (317-691-7484) determines many preliminary ideas and a time frame to produce the final products. A personal planning consultation will then be scheduled to plan out the details and determine the necessary fees to obtain the desired result.
